Implementing a new fueling infrastructure is an enormous undertaking. CaFCP members have taken important steps to lay the foundation for this eventual transition by:

• Ensuring that vehicles and stations interact in a safe, predictable manner
• Engaging organizations that write standards relating to fueling infrastructure
• Educating local permit officials
• Educating fire and life safety professionals

Developing fuel infrastructure solutions that are safe, reliable, environmentally friendly, and cost effective remains a primary challenge for market development of fuel cell vehicles.
